Marsha Lewellin

Director and Owner of The EMDR Centre / Psychologist / Relational Integrative EMDR Therapist

Marsha attained a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (with a concentration in addictions), from Antioch University New England, NH, USA in July 2007. She worked in a variety of mental health positions in the USA, including emergency services, college counselling, community mental health, forensic treatment for adolescent girls and residential care for adolescent boys.

She returned to Australia in 2013 and completed requirements to become licensed as a psychologist in 2020.  Marsha began working in private practice in 2020 and established her own private practice Positive Connections Psychology in 2022.  Throughout this time, she has undertaken training and supervision to become a full member of the EMDR Association of Australia; advanced attachment focused EMDR training (Relational Integrative EMDR); G-TEP for group EMDR; Resource Therapy to support her EMDR practice. She is board-approved supervisor for psychologists.

Marsha established The EMDR Centre in April 2024 and will work across various modalities (individual, group and intensive format) utilizing EMDR to support client outcomes.

Personal Statement

I work from a collaborative, non-judgmental and empathic stance, to provide a safe space where clients feel supported and empowered to address underlying concerns, develop insight and increase self-confidence. I passionately believe in the human capacity for growth and change, and for the creation of a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Outside of doing the work that she loves, Marsha is an avid cat lover (some would say crazy cat lady) and adores her two cats, Spirit and Finn. She also loves sports, particularly AFL and NFL and is a Hawthorn and New England Patriots tragic. She also loves travelling, learning and challenging herself.

I bring passion and enthusiasm to my work and enjoy working with adults presenting with a diverse range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, substance use, self-harm, mood disorders, trauma, self-esteem, relationship issues, life transitions and grief and loss. I approach the therapeutic process from a stance of resolving long-term behavioural, cognitive and relational patterns, that negatively present functioning and wellbeing. Clients will be interested in and committed to identifying and exploring underlying causes of current distress.

Through my years of practice, I have developed an interest in working with complex trauma resulting from abuse, neglect (physical/emotional), exposure to violence/substance use, bullying, exploitation or marginalization. I also enjoy working with traumatic events and critical incident response.  I particularly enjoy working in a group format.

Louise Campbell

Practice Manager

Louise has a proven track record of over 20 years in reception and administration, with experience in a variety of industries including kitchen design, real estate, trades, and psychology.

She has recently transitioned to a virtual/remote work model, where she has successfully supported businesses like Positive Connections Psychology and The EMDR Centre in enhancing customer service, increasing productivity, and improving overall operational efficiency.

Her expertise in administrative tasks combined with her ability to work remotely has allowed her to provide valuable support while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Personal Statement

I am a busy mum to three daughters (a teenager and a set of identical twins), a wife to my tradesman husband who is busy himself running his own business. I love a clean and tidy home and try to be super organised although it is almost impossible with a busy household.

Camping and boating are always at the top of my list over summertime and when I get some free time I love going out for lunch with friends or heading to the local nail salon for some self-care.
